Spring Break Activities in Glendale

Spring break in March is a great time to venture around Glendale. Not only is the weather ideal, but there is always something to do for the whole family to enjoy!

The Weather

The weather in Arizona is usually perfect, especially during the month of March. Expect plenty of sunshine across the valley of the sun with high temperatures in the 70s and 80s. With this type of weather, you can enjoy walks around your neighborhood or browse the shops and eateries at nearby Westgate Entertainment. This is also a great time to start working on your tan and lounge around the pool.

Things to Do

Luckily, there is always something to do outdoors in the Phoenix area, all just a close drive from Glendale.

Hurricane Harbor Phoenix

Just a short drive down the freeway from Glendale you will come across Hurricane Harbor Phoenix. The water park is fun for all ages and a great place for the whole family to visit. There is a splash area for the little kids and fun rides for the bigger kids. Plus, they offer discounts and group tickets throughout the year. It opens in March for the season and has over 30 slides, rides, and attractions. Cool off in the sunshine by riding the Raging River, which takes the family raft through canyon walls, sharp turns, and deep drops. Or, hang out at the boogie board beach, offering multi-level waves and nine slides for hours of fun.

Top Golf

There are a few locations across the valley, but there is one located right in the heart of Glendale. The entertainment venue has a driving range where you can play games with the entire family and enjoy tasty food, plus a small arcade. With outdoor bays that offer plenty of shade, you can still enjoy the gorgeous weather while working on your golf swing.

Wildlife World Zoo, Aquarium, and Safari Park

Located near Glendale sits the Wildlife World Zoo, Aquarium and Safari Park, which is a 215-acre zoo that specializes in African and South American animals. This zoo offers the largest collection of exotic animals in the state of Arizona with 600 different species including a baby animal nursery, kangaroos, many reptiles, and large cats. Plus, there are activities for the kids and special shows.
