Good Afternoon glamour babes, and happy Fri-yay!!! Today's review is all about lipstick, rather I should say metallic liquid lipstick from Wet n Wild's Lost in the Wild Flowers Collection!!! Yay!! I didn't think or care too much when drugstore makeup companies like Milani, NYX, and Wet n Wild introduced metallic lipsticks to their line of makeup. I guess you can call me a plain Jane when choosing my lipsticks. They either have to be in the pink or red range with a matte or satin matte finish. It's rare that I go after other finishes (glossy, creamy, sheer), I'm a girl who loves a good lippie with long lasting wear. But, after seeing the gorgeous six shade shimmery collection (four of which I did not buy) of Wet n Wild's Coloricon Metallic liquid Lipsticks, and their affordability of $2.99, I thought why not give Chrysanthemums the Word, and Days of Fuchsia Passed a go?!
Chrysanthemums the Word is a bright bubble gum pink.
Days of Fuchsia Passed is obviously a stunning bold fuchsia, my favorite!
Each tube carries a lovely plush doe foot wand making this creamy, thick liquid lipstick much easier to apply and spread out evenly with no feathering or bleeding.
The colors are highly pigmented and have a metallic creamy finish, so do not expect these liquid lippies to dry down into a matte finish like most other brands, these remind me more of an opaque gloss. Wet n Wild's Coloricon Metallic Liquid Lipsticks are very comfortable to wear, they do not have a sticky, gross, tacky feel once applied, they glide on the lips like butta! If your lips are on the drier side, I would exfoliate since these do tend to sink into every crack and crevice, and the metallic sheen makes it a bit more pronounced. The staying power of these metallic liquid lipsticks are pretty good except when eating heavy meals, it's like you never put them on, they completely wipe off. If there is light snacking, and drinking involved, these liquid lippies stay on all day that settle down into a pretty shimmery stain. Now, here comes the best part, If you love Nars' Orgasm Lipgloss ($26) then you'll want to grab My Tulips are Sealed from this collection because it's a dupe!
Both are peachy pink shimmery glosses that are extremely comfortable to wear, produce some serious shine, and can be worn alone or over other lip formulas. My Tulips are Sealed is a limited edition liquid lipstick and is available online @wetnwildbeauty.com. Did I love Wet n Wild's Coloricon Metallic Liquid Lipsticks? YES! Will I purchase more Metallic Liquid Lipsticks from other brands? You betcha! I'm kinda digging the whole metallic lip thing for the summer, if I can rock a little glow on the face, why not on the lips too?! I am a plain Jane no more! I feel like a butterfly emerging out of its cocoon, lol. What's your take on Wet n Wild's Coloricon Metallic Liquid Lipsticks or any brand for that matter? Yay or Nay?
Stay beautiful! Xo.
