I was lost, but now I am found. I am broken, but never beaten down.
Upon my heart, Jesus Christ has set His seal. By the grace of God, I am alive. Jesus has called me His; I know that am loved.
My name is Sarah JoAnna and I am a child of God.
In May of 2014, I graduated from college with a major in political science and minor in accounting. My major required me to write a lot of papers and to think critically of everything. So, though I do not currently use my degree in my job, yet I believe it did help me in pursuing one of my favorite pastimes: writing.
I have no reason to complain about the life God has given me. I have a roof over my head and a job that is five days a week, eight hours a day; and I have worked here for over two years now. And one of the biggest blessing I thank God for is that I have church home that has encouraged me so much in my adult life. Growing up, I didn’t really have a church home. Though I attended a few churches with my family, we ended up leaving each fellowship for one reason or another.
It is an awesome blessing to have parents and siblings who follow Christ, and reading the Bible every night as a family definitely worked to encourage me to pursue Christ. But I often prayed and hoped for fellowship with more of Christ’s saints. Throughout my youth and into my adult life, I longed for fellowship that was outside my own family. And the prayer of my heart has been answered in this city.
I enjoy singing, playing guitar, reading, watching movies, listening to great music, hanging out with friends, crocheting, working out, and writing about what God has been teaching me.
No, I am not even close to perfect, but I know that Christ is perfecting me. I may have no idea where I am going, but I know that God does. Amen.
