It`s not easy being comfortable in your own skin and loving your own body, especially with all the different beauty ideals were around in our everyday lives. You end up with a feeling of discomfort, feeling down because of not reaching up to those standards society has set up for us. So we beat ourselves up for that fact. I, myself have been guilty of such thought process. It is definitely not easy, but from that moment you stop caring about what other people think, in some way it gets a little bit easier. I`m not saying you wont eventually have a few bad days, heck a lot of them will occure. But the thing is to just at least try. By trying I mean by doing. You know what they say; "action speaks louder than words".

If at some point there is something you are not okay with about yourself either you learn to embrace it or you work on it. At the end of the day it`s your life and you need to do what makes you happy. If that is to wear makeup, you do that. If you want to hit the gym on a Tuesday afternoon well buddy you do that too. The point is to do whatever makes you feel good in that exact moment.

By no means am I an expert when it comes to self love, I am a working progress people, and I learn everyday as most people do. I embrace my good and work with on my bad. Do you?

I so agree with you Katherine! We are all beautiful in our own way and we need to accepct and respect each other for the way we look. There is no right to bodyshame anyone for the way they look just because we all have our own perception of beauty. PS: Sorry for the late respons! - Sofia

That above is my body type. And I was bullied for the longest time for looking like that! By my friends, by my husband, by people that did not know me..... I hated being thin... I just wanted to look "normal." So, when people accuse size 0s and 2s of starving ourselves, that is not always the case. We are also attacked for not looking a certain way. Again, beauty is subjective. We are all beautiful and not beautiful to somebody...
