5 WAYS TO UNLEASH YOUR INNER GREATNESS

5 WAYS TO UNLEASH YOUR INNER GREATNESS

As soon as I began writing this piece, my mind flashed back to when I was in secondary school particularly about a friend of mine named Jay-Jay. This guy was awarded the overall best student and he graduated with straight A’s in all of his courses.

He didn’t have any hard time securing admission into the university clearly because of how outstanding his grades were. He went on to study medicine, became a huge inspiration to colleagues, a role model for the junior students and a great ambassador for the school.

But you see, Jay-Jay was never always an A-Student. As a matter of fact, in year 3 he was not found on the list of best 100 students. More so, he alluded to the fact that he was a run-of-the-mill kind of student. By year 5, he was named as one of the best 100 students and in year 6, he went on to become the overall best.

The surprise of his emergence propelled me to find out how he came all the way from behind to become the best overall. This was what he said to me “In year 4, I stumbled on the secrets of how to be an A-Student and I plunged myself straight into it.” The rest is history.

There are certain things that successful people do that distinguishes them from the unsuccessful. In this article, I desire to bring these 5 secrets to your awareness but whatever you do with them is entirely up to you. They are 5 questions that if answered sincerely and articulately are capable of turning you into an overnight success regardless of where you are on the food chain.

#1. Who Am I?

This question addresses the issue of Identity and produces in you a self-awareness or self-realisation. In answering this question, don’t allow your current circumstance to define who you are – your lack of education, finance or connections, unemployment, physical or emotional disability and so on should not define you. Define yourself based on what you see yourself become!

#2. Where Am I From?

This question has no connection at all with your ethnic origin but speaks only about your Source. Who do you think formed and created you? Who gave you the breath in your nostrils and the right of existence?

Just like the electric iron cannot produce heat without being connected to the mains so also, we humans cannot live without a Source. As for me, God is my Source, so I hail from Him. I’m God’s creation; in his image and likeness.

#3. Why Am I Here?

There’s a reason why you occupy space on earth and this reason is your Purpose of existence, your personal reason for living. Your Purpose is your assignment on earth and where Purpose is not known, abuse becomes inevitable.

For example, the purpose of a Coffee Vending Machine is to dispense Coffee drinks while the purpose of an ATM Machine is to dispense Cash. Do you ever go to an ATM Machine for Coffee drinks? Definitely Not! So, your Purpose is always unique to you.

#4. What Am I Capable Of Doing?

What you’re capable of doing is referred to as your Potential. Ralph Waldo Emerson quoted saying, “What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.”

Everything you need is already inside of you, all you need to do is look inward and fetch them out. Think about what you’re talented in, skilled in, gifted to do or capable of doing with little or no struggle. That’s your potential!

#5. Where Am I Going?

This speaks about your Destiny. What do you think is the sum total of what you have been created to accomplish before you die? What cause have you been intricately designed to support and what problem have you been fashioned to solve?

The likes of Martin Luther King Jr., Nelson Mandela were destined to emancipate their people from political oppression. That leaves me to surmise that on most occasions, what you hate to see is a pointer to what you have been designed to fix.

Friend, I believe God has created us in his own image and Glory, so His Grace is sufficient for me, for If my God is great, in believing in Him, I become Great too! Praise the Lord. God Bless you friend.
