The view of Ta Prohm Temple is probably one of the most iconic scenes in Lara Croft:Tomb Raider (well it is to me) - So I couldn't stop myself from drawing it!
It is visually captivating and is just one of the most serene and naturally beautiful places on earth.
Ta Prohm Temple is located in Angkor, Siem Reap Province, Cambodia. It was a Mahayana Buddhist monastery and university built in 1186 AD and is still standing today, except with the addition of a tree growing out of it :p
The architectural style is Khmer. The Khmer empire is well known for its architecture built in Angkor, which is its greatest legacy. The era began around 802 CE and ended in the 15th century.
