I am just like most of you. Young, hard working and trying to make a change in everything I encounter but still feeling like you have been short changed. Having bills and quarters in my pocket does not mean I am close to this change I am seeking. That is only here to numb me to believe that I am making a change but when I speak and I see a change in the diameter of your pupils, then I know you have sat down in one of classes.

WE ARE NOT NUMBERS! WE ARE NOT WHAT OUR BANK ACCOUNTS READ! WE ARE NOT HOW MANY ACRES WE OWN! HOW MANY CARS WE ACCUMULATE! HOW MUCH GOLD WE HAVE AND HOW MANY PEOPLE WE HAVE CHASING AFTER OUR IMAGE! 

WE ARE KNOWLEDGE AND THAT WILL DETERMINE HOW FAR WE CAN SAVE OUR POPULATION!

This is not some pro-black female ranting about what is happening in our black communities or in our black youth but I am Black, (French Caribbean to be exact) and I am pro- survival, no matter where you lay your head at night in the skin you are in. I work for my survival, just as we all do but I work to ensure that my destination is secure as long as I secure it. Treating the people of this country and anywhere else, as if we are cattle, needs to come to an end. If you ever wondered why it is still so hard to get ahead when you are giving it everything and I mean everything you got, then question everything around you with good intentions in your heart. Looking at everything around me daily kills me on a deeper level because the masses running blindly to their own demise and only at the end asking, " Why is this happening"? 

America was founded on lies and will drown in the same aspect and if you don't see that, step out of your world and place yourself in another's. I have been blessed to be on both sides of the world, the high and low, so often in-between, but have been  questioning and questioned on life. I never get stuck in the wallowing but am looking for ways for it to ease. Ways to help people find sustainable food, sustainable income in a positive environment that suits their needs( Just not in it for the money), and how to not losing the core reason of your being but also given the support to look for your true being without being torn down. 

Am I saying anything that is far fetched? Possibly.....if you have been so self centered to the truth. We as people, are the village. Think about that when you walk through the streets and smile at people you walk past. If you never did that, try it. See the reactions in people and ask yourself mentally about your experiences and the outcome. Then try that with all the troubles in your life. Once you've gathered all your experimental info, then find answers that actually help yourself and maybe the next few people you run into. It can start a change.

Media will not help you. T.V was created to keep you informed on the tragic things that were out of your close view. Nothing else (and I have knowledge on this). Music was brought to tap into our spirits. A gift nevertheless. Misuse come from lack of understanding. Can we all start to care and then we can shift the world? We can't keep asking questions if we don't even want the real answers and to follow through with the answers(Truth). 

Challenge my thinking, help me help you, in order to help another as well and so forth. At least that would get that train rolling, taking us to where we may actually have a chance.
