I suppose like many writers, my love for writing stemmed first from a love for reading. I hated sports when I was at school, always preferring to have my head in a book.
My interests have grown steadily over the years to include food and cooking. I also have a great love for travel, Europe in particular. As a child growing up in New Zealand I dreamed of seeing the world.
I enjoy writing about the food I love to cook and eat and the places I've travelled to. For me the two are closely linked. When travelling it's often all about the food for me. I find myself looking out places to eat weeks before getting on the plane. My favourite place? Italy. And Italian is by far my favourite cuisine of the world.
