Birds chirp echoes in the soft silence
and hum of neighborhoods waking to rise
Soon the sun climbs
sweat starts to soak
Children laugh in sprinkler mists
under cloud drifts
over daydreamers in the park
The sun crosses the sky
Mother nature starts to close her eyes
in the painted horizon
the moon smiles
as the twilight dies
and yields infinite starlit skies
while closed eyes
slip into endless dreams of the night
