Finding Answers Through Kabbalah

Kabbalah is a science that dates back to the time of ancient Babylon. It is a way to comprehend the invisible, the imperceptible, and that which has not been experienced by the majority of us. The Kabbalist Yehuda Ashlag defines Kabbalah in the following manner in his article The Essence of the Wisdom of Kabbalah: “This wisdom is no more and no less than a sequence of roots, which hang down by way of cause and effect, in fixed, determined rules, weaving into a single, exalted goal described as the revelation of His Godliness to His creatures in this world.”

What is being said here is explained in part from an article in the Kabbalah Library “What Is Kabbalah” and states: “There exists the upper force or the Creator, and governing forces descend from this upper force into our world…We exist here in our world. We are created by some upper force that we call “the Creator,” while remaining hidden from us”. It also states that this upper force also gave birth to the upper worlds (five worlds in total) but there is something called the Machsom that is a barrier that separates the upper worlds from our world. The science of Kabbalah gives us an understanding of these upper worlds and our own world. It also gives us the opportunity to feel the upper worlds, to understand everything that happens to us, and most of all, to control this process for ourselves.

In the science of Kabbalah, one study what reality is and what is needed in order to enter a hidden structure called spirituality. A person study how to ascend beyond our world, to the field that governs it. Through Kabbalah, a person finds the Creator’s purpose of creation. It provides a concept of creation and of a person’s place in it. The wisdom of Kabbalah directs the person towards inner reflection and transformation, which alienates him or her from performing rituals and following any religious injunctions. It is through the study of Kabbalah that one can correct oneself and achieve the goal for which mankind was created.

Through the study of Kabbalah, a person can see and understand the connection between the Creator and creation. It gives one the answer of where one comes from and where one is going. It was given to correct us, to make us like the Creator. By studying how we can change ourselves, we can do so quickly and enter the state of perfection and eternity now, in this world, and in this lifetime. The study of Kabbalah accelerates the advancement of man’s soul in its journey toward the spiritual. It speaks of what can be taught, seen and heard outside of us, beyond the five senses that limit us because it is a system that develops additional senses through which one begins to feel the spiritual world, as well as this world as we feel it today. Maybe Kabbalah is a subject that is worth looking into.
