How Shared office spaces help companies find and nurture right talent

A shared office space can really bring out the best in the employees. After all, a fresher, who once had lots of passion and dedication towards his work, also starts to feel monotonous by the drudgery of daily work life after a point and it definitely takes a toll on the quality of work. The workspace has much do it, apart from the other factors like mounting work pressure or a difficult boss. In fact, one of the things that can only make it easier for the employees to deal with the stress of a hectic work life, is the workspace itself, but only if it is done right. Shared office spaces are or coworking spaces are ideal in this respect.

A shared workspace can be a treasure trove of idea for a number of reasons.

1. Diversity: Firstly, the people one interacts with are not just limited to a particular field, which is often the case with a regular workspace. Usually, people working in the HR sit together or software engineers are seated together and the like. There are of course, discussions and conferences and but at the end of the day, it is all about one particular area of work and does not provide much scope for out of the box conversations. A shared workspace does that because the employees meet people from other fields as well and this greatly enhances the creative scope of the person. Even a simple conversation can open new doors. If nothing else, it provides a break from the monotony of the work that one does and one comes back to it refreshed and motivated all over again.
2. Creativity: A co- working space is designed specifically to boost creativity as anybody who has worked in such an environment before will tell you. A well designed, co- working space will have creative tools to boost the imagination- they could be anything from a nook with books to a small pool table to take away the lethargy of sitting in front of the computer for long hours. Both the mind and the body are stimulated in such an environment and the people one meets are equally relaxed and creative. It has been seen that employees working in such an environment have greater output and they are more focused when they are working, resulting in better quality of work. Such an environment actually provides stimulus that keeps the brain sharp and alert rather than letting monotony set it.
3. Economical: On the other hand, shared workspaces sometimes offer more in terms of amenities than a small scale regular office. There are many new office buildings that come up but often do not have modern video- conferencing facilities or maybe, even a conference room. The company might not be in a sound financial position to hire anything than that at the moment, but work cannot simply stop. Hiring a co- working space in a well designed unit will have all these features and one can pay for them and use the facilities only for the duration of that period. There is of course, no sense in paying long term for services that are going to be used sporadically but one cannot do away with them altogether either. At times, worries about extra costs are enough to hinder productivity in the employees or the founders, but that is not the case here. The shared workspaces provide these facilities, helping the employees to grow and learn, but without burdening them with extra costs and that is a wonderful takeaway.
Hence, these factors will surely help out in drawing out the best from the employees and will only contribute to the success of the company.
