"If you are not willing to risk the usual, you will have to settle for the ordinary"
-Jim Rohn
Hello my lovelies!
In case you guys missed it and don't follow me on my other social media (you should though), I recently got a new desk and revamped the entire area. This may not seem like much to the ordinary healthy person, but when you fight depression like me, cleaning your room and maintaining it is a big deal. I really love the way it turned out, and its really inspired me to get creative once again.

Even if you don't struggle with a mental illness, pat yourself on the back when you clean up a room or certain area of a room. Humans are naturally messier creatures, and it takes a lot of skill and discipline for us to keep things tidy. You deserve a cookie and some validation, because you did that.
I would consider this look a followup of my Color Contrast post, given that it's the inverted edition of that look. I love orange for my blue eyes as a contrast, so it would make sense that combining the two colors in a look would really bring something interesting to the table. If you have blue eyes, give orange a try! I understand that it can be a fairly daunting color, but it will come out amazing, I promise. If you noticed that I don't have a full face picture included, it's because the picture was actually incredibly blurry, which I did not realize until I began to edit, hours after I removed my makeup. Oopsies.
Let's get started:

The eyelids:
- Prime and set the eyes with a shadow or powder that best matches your skin tone. I used the first shadow in this case.
- Lay down the second shadow in the crease and beginning of the brow bone to create a transition.
- Layer the third shadow on top of the transition shade in the same pattern. I've mentioned in previous posts to treat blending like a rainbow, starting with this shadow as the first layer of the rainbow.
- Blend out the fourth shade just below the third, creating a deeper contrast in the crease and more dimension for the eye look.
- Pack and blend the fifth shadow into the deepest part of the crease, as well as the outer corner. Don't worry about any messiness, we can clean that up later.
- Wet a flat shader brush and pack the sixth shadow across the entire eyelid, bringing it up into the crease as well.
Lower lashline:
- Line the waterline and lower lashline with a cobalt or royal blue eyeliner.
- Smudge out the blue liner with the fifth shadow, dragging it slightly downward to smoke the lashline.
Other:
- Highlight the tear duct with the seventh and final shadow. You can always highlight your brow bone as well!
- Line the eyelid with a black liner. Create a wing to your preference.
- Sharpen the liner and shadow by cleaning up with a wipe or concealer if you already have foundation on.
- Curl and coat the lashes with mascara. Apply falsies if you wish.
That's all I have for you guys today. Please remember to like, comment, and subscribe, it really helps me out. Also don't forget to have a magnificent Monday!
Stay beautiful!
